CEH certifies offensive-security fundamentals across the full attack surface: reconnaissance and scanning, system and network hacking, web application attacks, wireless and mobile/IoT hacking, and cryptography. This course preps the CEH knowledge exam (312-50) — the multiple-choice foundation every CEH candidate needs regardless of path. A separate hands-on CEH Practical exam exists for candidates pursuing CEH Master status, requiring lab practice beyond this course. Still the most recognized entry credential into penetration testing and red-team work.
